The
Restorations and Reconstruction of Pipe Organs
in the World
The restoration or rebuilding of historic
instruments has always been the favorite
specialisation of
our family business. Our deep respect for the work of the old masters,
together with the knowledge drawn from our rich experience, are the best
guarantees of the quality of our achievements.
The Silbermann organ-building tradition has always
been our exemplar. It has been our privilege to restore most of their
extant instruments, and have created our own copies.
Also, many instruments by Callinet and Stiehr, the
C XIX Alsatian organ-builders, have been restored by our care.
We have moreover restored several
instruments of other great French builders such as Clicquot as well as
the “Romantic” Cavaillé-Coll and Merklin, to mention but a few of the
most famous of the C XVIII and C XIX. Similarly, we rebuilt or restored
several great cathedral organs in France and other countries.
Our intimate knowledge of
old instruments in general has enabled us to restore historical organs in
Germany, England, Austria and Switzerland.
